Vous vous demandez probablement qu’est-ce que le DAB en vous rappelant quelques images d’une mode mystique et dépassée.

Le DAB ou Digital Audio Broadcasting est le tout nouveau système de radiodiffusion numérique conçu lors du projet EUREKA 147. 

Contrairement au système FM classique, le DAB+ est terrestre,comme la TNT, ce qui lui alloue de nombreux avantages.

Pourquoi faire

Le DAB+ est la transition au numérique pour les radios, de la même manière que la TV ou la photo ont opéré leur passage auparavant.

Ce DAB+ permet entre autres de rechercher directement les noms des radios, mais aussi d’accéder à de nouvelles radios, une qualité sonore améliorée, disponible gratuitement.

Seule condition pour profiter de ce système est de posséder un appareil récepteur de la DAB+, en voie de standardisation chez les constructeurs radios.

Ce nouveau service se démocratise rapidement dans nos villes Françaises et ce mois-ci en Occitanie avec 39 radios déjà disponibles.

L’objectif sera d’avoir couvert 40% de la population Française d’ici 2020.

Ce Mardi 17 novembre, nous avons l’occasion de rencontrer Antoine Tabard, secrétaire général du Comité Territorial de l’Audiovisuel de Toulouse qui a pu nous expliquer en détail les caractéristiques et forces du DAB+.

Comment capter le DAB+, ses avantages, comment les radios s’adapteront et quel sera l’impact de cette technologie sur le futur.
