Initiatives durant la pandémie

Exposition « Lux fugit sicut umbra » fermée au public mais qui a été diffusé en ligne sous forme de quatre films présentant quatre jeunes artistes contemporains évoluant dans le cadre du dispositif « post production » des écoles de Beaux-Arts de la région. Une cinquième vidéo a été diffusée le 17 avril, l’exposition doit prendre fin le 12 mai.

Le WEFRAC 2021 avec pour thème « Les FRACS à l’air libre », cet événement a eu lieu à Montpellier durant le week-end du 17 et 18 avril. Un ensemble de quatre peintures intitulé « Les mécènes et le Paon » de l’artiste Fabien Boitard a été exposé sur la façade du Frac, 4 Rue Rambaud à Montpellier.

Le Frac a également accueilli des habitants de certains quartiers de Montpellier, dont l’association Odette Louise de Celleneuve. Cette initiative a permis à des petits groupes de se rendre dans la structure pour effectuer des prises de vues, ces mêmes images ont été exposé sur les murs du Frac.

L’exposition monographique « Des fleurs pour les audacieux » de Grégory Forstner devrait avoir lieu à partir du 3 juin 2021 dans l’attente de la réouverture des lieux d’exposition.

Initiatives durant la pandémie

Le MO.CO. Panacée propose depuis le 26 septembre dernier et jusqu’au 30 mai 2021 l’exposition « Possédé·e·s ». Le musée continue à se mobiliser en proposant sur son site internet et sur sa chaîne YouTube des visites virtuelles vidéo, des visites sonores et des prises de vues de l’exposition.

Le MO.CO. Hôtel des collections propose la collection 00s. Cranford, une exposition entièrement consacrée aux années 2000. Accessible depuis le 24 octobre 2020 et jusqu’au 30 mai 2021, l’exposition se décline en ligne sous forme de prises de vues de l’exposition et une série d’entretiens intitulée « Les années 2000 par…  » avec des figures clefs de différents champs de la création et de la pensée.

D’autres initiatives sont mises à l’honneur en ligne, le MO.CO diffuse sur son site ses rencontres avec les artistes des expositions. Sur YouTube une mini-série originale et collaborative intitulée Witch TV partage l’histoire de la répression de la sorcellerie du Moyen ge à l’époque moderne. Pour le jeune public, des vidéos d’ateliers créatifs du type « Do It Yourself » (fais-le toi-même) et des livrets enfants sont en téléchargement libre.

Durant le premier confinement (mars 2020) :

Sur la chaîne YouTube, Facebook et le site internet du musée, l’opération « Regard sur une œuvre » diffuse chaque jour un film mettant en avant une œuvre parmi les collections du musée. Seconde initiative avec « Regards croisés », des artistes sont intervenus au musée pour parler d’une œuvre sélectionnée et expliquer leur choix, les vidéos ont été diffusé jusqu’au début de l’année 2021. Troisième initiative au travers des journées du Patrimoine, le musée a diffusé sur sa chaîne YouTube le programme initialement prévu ce qui a donné lieu à des concerts, conférences et rencontres poétiques en ligne.

Durant le second confinement (fin octobre 2020) :

Le musée est intervenu auprès des écoles chaque jour en instaurant des rendez-vous. Médiateurs, présentateurs et animateurs ont présenté des œuvres ou collections dans les classes des écoles de Sète.

Actuellement et prochainement :

Depuis le 2 février, le musée Paul Valéry diffuse chaque jour un film consacré à Paul Valéry dont cette année a lieu le 150ème anniversaire de sa naissance, ces vidéos sont disponibles sur sa chaîne YouTube.

Dès la réouverture du musée fin mai, s’en suivra l’inauguration d’une exposition qui se tiendra tout l’été sur l’art aborigène sous une vision contemporaine. Seront réunis environ 70 œuvres créées depuis les années 1970. Le public pourra aussi découvrir une nouvelle configuration muséographique de l’espace mettant en avant Paul Valéry le poète éponyme du musée.

A la fin de l’été les 24, 25 et 26 septembre, auront lieu les journées Paul Valéry, chaque jour un aspect de l’homme sera présenté (Penseur, Poète et Humain).

L’exposition Voyage au cœur de la nuit est proposée par le Département de l’Hérault à Prades-Le-Lez du 6 février au 6 juin 2021. Avant sa réouverture prochaine, le domaine de Restinclières fait découvrir via son site l’univers de l’obscurité tant la nuit sur Terre que dans le système solaire. La visite virtuelle est disponible en vidéo YouTube, en partenariat avec le parc national des Cévennes, Nicolas Gal, artiste plasticien et la Galerie Euréka de la ville de Chambéry.

En parallèle le Domaine partage en ligne les conférences échos durables. Ces rencontres virtuelles ont lieu un jeudi par mois à 19h sous forme de Webinaire en attendant de rouvrir ses portes au public. Objectif, ouvrir des espaces de réflexion, de dialogue et de débat entre chercheurs héraultais et citoyens autour de l’environnement. La date du prochain rendez-vous du mois de mai sera publiée sur le site internet.

En ce moment l’exposition « Ensemble 2306 » de l’artiste Puzzle Persos est présentée au sein de l’espace Saint-Ravy au cœur de Montpellier. Arnaud Catayée de son vrai nom est le lauréat de la Bourse Initiatives Jeunes décernée par la Ville de Montpellier et bénéficiaire du CAP Jeune du Département de l’Hérault. Pour permettre au public d’accéder à cette exposition hors du commun, une visite interactive est disponible sur le site internet de l’Espace Saint-Ravy. L’immersion est complète grâce format en 3D. La visite interactive permet de parcourir chacune des œuvres, sculptures, photographies et bien d’autres éléments futuristes.

Un appel à candidatures est déjà lancé pour la saison 2021/2022, pour y participer les artistes plasticiens et photographes de la Métropole de Montpellier notamment ceux qui n’ont encore jamais exposé, peuvent dès à présent déposer leurs propositions de projets.
